“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.”

-Audrey Hepburn

Effortlessly elegant and eternally enchanting, Audrey Hepburn is a style icon for all ages. Whether sporting ankle pants and a striped shirt or wearing a gorgeous Givenchy gown, she was always a statement of sophistication. Timeless and contemporary, she had an innate eye for what worked for her figure and what didn't.

During the filming of Roman Holiday (1953), her first major film role, she worked with legendary costume designer Edith Head. For her romantic rendezvous exploring Rome with Gregory Peck, Head styled Hepburn in a simple white button down with rolled sleeves paired with a circle skirt; a look that Hepburn is revered for today. Sartorially savvy, Hepburn accessorized the outfit herself with some feminine finishing touches. She added a scarf around her neck and belt that accentuated her tiny waist, taking the ensemble to the next level.

Everyone, including myself, tries to imitate her style, but nobody can quite pull it off like Audrey did. But a girl can try right?
